An EIG client family wanted to visit an organization they had funded working with Guatemalan orphans so EIG planned a customized Thanksgiving trip. The family installed efficient stoves, played soccer with children in poverty, visited an orphanage they supported, and saw how water purification changes a community. They were able to serve as a family, learn about the needs as a family, and enjoy the cross-cultural experience all as a family. It created the opportunity to pass along values of service and generosity from parents to children and fueled their passion for empowering those trapped in poverty. Watch video!

An EIG client built a playground at Center of Hope Academy with Kaboom--a playground designer for local communities. Our client and his wife joined community volunteers to build it in Denver on October 10, 2009. The Academy demonstrated success in helping struggling students and now is able to match that academic excellence with outdoor recreational activities. Watch video!

Excellence in Giving planned a work day for a corporate client at the Family Visitation Center in Colorado Springs, CO. The Sept 28 work day for the clients and their company employees improved the Center's visitation and play area where kids come to meet their parents on neutral turf before being reunited. Orphan Awareness Night

EIG clients in Austin, TX teamed up with musical artists Steven Curtis Chapman & Geoff Moore on Sept. 24, 2009 to educate the public about the plight of orphans. Steven Curtis Chapman played a private concert at an EIG client's home in the evening to fund an adoption organization that the clients support called Show Hope.
